Vance Joy – Riptide

Nice tune for Easter preparations. No meaningful lyrics, no amazing orchestration. Just laziness and some joy.

A DEAD FOREST INDEX – DISTANCE

Denovali Records hit again.
A Dead Forest Index are two brothers from Melbourne, Australia.
Austere yet intense, with eerie sound effect. Dark and haunting music, fills the space and makes you linger while listening to the lyrics.
Ah, in June, they’ll be supporting Killing Joke !!!

sleepmakeswaves – To You They Are Birds, To Me They Are Voices In The Forrest

The Silent Ballet listed ” One Day You Will Teach Me to Let Go of My Fears” in their top 30 songs from 2008 alongside releases from Sigur Ros, Mogwai, Earth and The Samuel Jackson Five.
In October it was announced that “…and so we destroyed everything” had been nominated for a 2012 ARIA award for ‘Best Hard Rock / Metal Album.’ The band were also awarded ‘Band Of The Year’ at the 2012 Locies.

sleepmakeswaves have been confirmed as the support for UK electronic-rock band 65daysofstatic on their Australian tour in January 2013.

In Australia, the band developed a cult following, supporting Pelican on their Australian visit. An online friendship with Perth band Tangled Thoughts of Leaving led to the release of a split EP in 2009.

Fun fact: one fan included the track one day you will teach me to let go of my fears on a Twilight movie fan video on Youtube.
